We would be honored to have children attend the ceremony and partake in pictures. The reception however will be strictly adults only. We will have a hotel room which is attached to the venue with child care available at no cost to our guests with children. Should children be too young to be absent from the parents please let us know so that we can make an exception but we ask anyone in this situation to be mindful of noise.

There will be complimentary white and red wine at each table, along with coffee, tea, and water. Additional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be served from a cash bar.

While the wedding party and family will be taking photographs, we encourage guests to explore the boardwalk between venues for the plethora of stores and eateries that it has to offer. The reception venue will also be open as we understand it may be too hot to be outdoors for long in your wedding attire. Please Note: As food will not be served until 4:00pm, we encourage everyone to eat lunch ahead of time or plan to snack between the ceremony and reception.

Please come dressed in semi-formal attire. Men should wear a shirt and tie. The reception venue is carpeted and the park is grass so we recommend women bring a pair of flat soled shoes to change into if they wish to wear heels.

While our professional photographer will provide online access to all the wedding photographs for all of the guests, you are more than welcome to take your own pictures. The photographer has asked that there be no flash-photography as it may interfere with her work.

Please let Derek or Thomas know of these as far in advance as possible so that the chefs can be advised.

Wedding invitations will name everyone we have accounted for. If for any reason your plus one has been missed and is not on the invitation, let us know immediately so that we can ensure we are adhering to venue capacity rules.

July in Halifax is similar to July in Vancouver; expect mid to high 20s. The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception is indoors. Should the weather not allow an outdoor ceremony, our contingency plan is to hold the ceremony in the reception venue.
